JONESBORO, Ark. (AStateRedWolves.com) – The NCAA Women's Bowling Championship field will be revealed Wednesday, March 26th when a field of eight teams will be selected to compete in the tournament.
A-State has a 91-29 record on the season and was ranked first in the nation in the recent version of the National Tenpin Coaches Association Poll. The 91 wins are a school record for regular-season wins and tied the overall record for wins. The Red Wolves had four first-place finishes this season and finished no lower than fourth in any of their nine tournaments this season.
Arkansas State has recorded at least 80 wins in the regular season for the third straight year and is looking for its seventh straight NCAA Tournament appearance. A-State recorded its best finish in 2008 when they finished as the national runner-up. Last season, the Red Wolves finished tied for third as a national-semifinalist.
The selection show will air at 3 p.m.on www.NCAA.com. The championship tournament is scheduled for April 9-12 in Wickliffe, Ohio.
