Mid-South Manufacturing to Expand Presence in Marked Tree

MARKED TREE, AR - Mid-South Manufacturing, a major employer in Marked Tree since 1971, announced this morning that it will make a $3 million investment and add 110 new jobs to the payroll, bringing the company's total workforce in Marked Tree to more than 450.

Larry Walther, director of the Arkansas Department of Economic Development, joined Mid-South Manufacturing officials, Marked Tree Mayor Lawrence Ashlock, Jr. and other guests at the Marked Tree City Hall for this morning's ceremony.

"We're pleased to add these new jobs to our operation here in Marked Tree," said Mid-South operations manager Mike Hoover.  "We feel good about our future here and the potential to grow our business in this community."

Mid-South manufactures water pumps for several major automobile manufacturers in the U.S.
