JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-Region 8 residents facing life with a disability now have a place to turn to for help.
An open house took place Wednesday afternoon at the Arkansas Department of Career Education's Arkansas Rehabilitation Services in Jonesboro. The public was invited to come and find out what services the establishment provides and how they're here to help.
"We have so many individuals with disabilities," said Kimberly Clayborn, District Manager for District II. "Whether it's physical, mental, emotional, whatever, we welcome those people to come in because we want to make sure the individuals and citizens of Northeast Arkansas and independent and able to function in society."
Clayborn said they help their clients with education, job skills, employment and devices that aide those with physical disabilities.
