Writers' retreat registration deadline extended

PIGGOTT, AR (KAIT) – The registration deadline for the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center 2014 Spring Writers' Retreat has been extended.

Those interested in attending have until Monday, April 7, to sign up for the retreat which is set for Thursday through Saturday, April 10-12.

The retreat will be held in the Educational Center and the Hemingway Barn-Studio, located in Piggott.

Roland Mann of Oxford, MS, will serve as mentor for the retreat.

The retreat will feature in-class writing activities, private writing time, and group interaction. The writers will contribute stories, poems and essays to be published on site in a souvenir anthology.

Registration is $150, lunch and breaks included.

The museum and educational center are located at 102 W. Cherry St. Tours are available on the hour Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 1 until 3 p.m.
