Batesville man dead after weekend crash

BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) – An Independence County man is dead following a weekend crash near Batesville.

According to Arkansas State Police, Darrell R. Ross, 47, of Batesville died after a wreck Sunday night just before 10.

Police state Ross was traveling on State Highway 69 north of Batesville when his pickup went off the road in a curve on the right shoulder. The truck then went into a ditch and overturned.

Ross was ejected from the truck, according to the police crash report.
