WALNUT RIDGE, AR (KAIT) - A Pocahontas woman was sentenced to spend seven years in prison in connection to the death of a Walnut Ridge woman.
According to Lawrence County Circuit Court, Andrea Spradling, 34, was also given a 10-year suspended sentence and ordered to pay court costs.
Spradling, who pleaded guilty to negligent homicide, was involved in a crash in April, 2014 that killed Carmen Stayton, 65, of Walnut Ridge.
The accident happened at the intersection of East Main Street and 4th Street in Walnut Ridge. The initial police report stated Spradling failed to stop at the intersection when she hit Stayton.
