Mudslide in Carroll County evacuates homes and shuts off power

Mudslide that happened in Carroll Country April 4 after heavy rain and flooding. Mudslide that happened in Carroll Country April 4 after heavy rain and flooding.

CARROLL COUNTY, KY (WAVE) – After heavy rain brought flooding and mudslides April 4 another mudslide happened about one hundred yards from where one happened days before.

Around 6 p.m. April 6 the mudslide happened along Highway 36 in Carroll County.

The mudslide caused several homes to be evacuated and shut power off in about 100 homes.

Emergency management agency director said crews are working on cleaning the road that had to be closed due to debris.

No one was hurt.
