I-475 WB to US-23 SB reopens after semi crash

SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) -

After several hours of being closed, the ramp from Interstate 475 westbound to US-23 southbound has reopened after a morning semi truck accident.

Around 9 a.m. Tuesday, a semi truck hauling steel coils overturned. No hazardous material was spilled during the crash, but the truck blocked the entire entrance ramp. The debris was cleared and the roadway reopened around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Troopers on the scene say the truck driver had only minor injuries.

Officials say they are glad the accident happened on the ramp and did not affect any other cars.
