Ozarka College-Ash Flat hosting community health fair

ASH FLAT, AR (KAIT) – Eye exams, mammograms and blood tests are among the free services available to citizens at an upcoming community health fair.

The event will be hosted by Ozarka College's practical nursing class on Wednesday, April 30, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.

In addition to the previously mentioned exams, several healthcare vendors will also administer free hearing exams, preventative oral exams, and spine adjustments and massages.

White River Medical Center will also provide fasting cholesterol checks, HbA1C blood tests for known diabetics, body mass index measurements and bone density evaluations. The charge will be $15 and attendees will need to fast the night before.

Attendees are also encouraged to donate canned goods for Mission of Hope for an opportunity to win door prizes donated by local businesses.
