LITTLE ROCK, AR - There are still flu shots left and the state Health Department wants Arkansans who think they need one to call their local health units to check if any are available in their area.
Health Department spokesman Bob Alvey said that 47,201 vaccines were administered yesterday, that's three-fourths of the department's allotment in eight hours. People waited hours in line.
He said 43 health units in 35 counties are out of adult doses of the shots around the state. He said pediatric doses are still available, but urged Arkansans to call and check first.
Alvey said a clinic is to open at the State Fairgrounds in Little Rock at 8 o'clock this morning.
