California hires Tennessee's Cuonzo Martin as coach

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - California has hired Tennessee's Cuonzo Martin as its head coach.
Cal announced Martin's hiring Tuesday. He replaces Mike Montgomery, who retired last month after six seasons in Berkeley.

Martin was scheduled to be introduced at Cal during a news conference Tuesday afternoon.
