Three Sulphur residents booked on narcotics charges

SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) -

Three Sulphur residents have been booked on narcotics charges, following an investigation by the Sulphur Police Department.

On Wednesday, Sulphur Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Lori Lane.

"Upon entry into the residence, officers located crack cocaine, synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia," Sulphur Police spokesman Jason Gully said Thursday in a news release. "Officers also learned that there were two young children in the residence."

Caitlin L. Thibodeaux, 25, Jermain C. Lavan, 20, and Dustin J. Courville, 30, were arrested on narcotics charges. The children were released to relatives after the Office of Child Services was notified.

Thibodeaux was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lavan was charged with possession of CDS II with intent to distribute and possession of CDS I with intent to distribute.

Courville was charged with possession of CDS I with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, and possession of CDS II with intent to distribute.

All three were booked into the Sulphur City Jail.
