GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Two people were transported to a local hospital after a three-vehicle accident in Gregg County on Friday morning.

The accident occurred around three miles north of Interstate 20 on Highway 31. The wreck was blocking the northbound side of the roadway but has now been cleared.

One man and a child were taken to a hospital by ambulance.

A sedan had pulled onto the shoulder of the roadway to change a flat tire. A white Dodge Ram traveling in the right lane slowed down and merged into the left lane to distance itself from the stopped car. When the pickup merged into the left lane, a black Dodge Ram ran into the back of it.

The driver of the black Dodge Ram and a child passenger were the individuals who were transported to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
