Officers search convenience store, find illegal gambling devices

CARDWELL, MO  (KAIT) – Investigators are looking at possible charges related to the seizure of drug paraphernalia and illegal gambling machines at a Dunklin County convenience store, according to Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder.

Holder said his office applied for a search warrant through the prosecutor's office for the Stop N Go Convenience Store, 2995 Highway 412, in Cardwell. The warrant also included a "dwelling used as a residence and all outbuildings."

Holder said sheriff's deputies, along with Missouri State Highway Patrol, searched the property and discovered drug paraphernalia, three suspected illegal gambling machines, digital scales and a recording device.

As of this report, no charges have been filed in the case.
