BAY --Many Bay residents were introduced to the town's brand new city hall at an open house on Sunday.
"This is a community, here in the city of Bay, and we want them to see what they spent their money on,"said Mayor Quillon Vincent.
This four thousand square foot building was paid for by a 54, 000 dollar grant from the state, and the rest by city of Bay, for a grand total of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
"It's just something we needed, and we've always needed. It will last us another 30 to 40 years, and we won't run out of room,"said Vincent.
Edgar Morrison has lived in Bay most of his life, and served on the city council in the 1950's.
He says the change is a welcome one.
"They got in there and got after it, and got a new building.....it's kind of interesting what people can do,"said Morrison.
Larry Hall has been on Bay's City Council for 25 years.
