HOXIE, AR (KAIT) – A New Orleans man speeding through Hoxie made an unexpected stop at the county jail.
Lawrence County sheriff's deputies and Hoxie police arrested Joe Holland, 22, on charges of speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana and LSD).
According to Sheriff Jody Dotson, when officers stopped Holland for speeding near Hoxie he was "shaking and very nervous."
When asked if he had any illegal substances in his vehicle, Dotson said Holland told the officers he had some marijuana and got it from the car.
Officers then searched the vehicle and found a plastic baggie with "blotter paper containing LSD," Sheriff Dotson said.
Deputies arrested Holland and took him to the Lawrence County Jail to await a bond hearing.
