State Police Advocate Background Checks for Hiring New Workers

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Arkansas State Police have launched a new background check service for businesses.  The agency says it can deliver a comprehensive criminal background report to employers.  State Police say the check takes only seconds.

The State Police say checking backgrounds can prevent crimes that might occur later.

The agency warns that the only background checks that link to the state police database is the one offered through the Web site  State Police say other services don't have the same resources and may provide incomplete results.
