(WMC) - Some things you are usually told to bring with you to the Beale Street Music Festival: cash, an unopened bottle of water, and rain boots. But you may not need all of that this year.

WMC Action News 5's Meteorologist Ron Childers says this weekend will be the best weekend for the festival in years.

"This year, we're looking at temps in the 70s, low 80s, dry, low humidity, and perfect. Absolutely perfect," he said.

Memphis in May Director of Marketing Holly Ford says Mother Nature's kindness will likely result in more people in the park.

"We're expecting very big crowds. When you have weather like this I have a feeling there's gonna be a lot of people who say, 'Hey let's go enjoy the great weather on the river,' " she said.

And perhaps enjoy some music.
