BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) –Two men were arrested Thursday morning after Baxter County deputies servedwarrants.
According to Baxter CountySheriff John Montgomery, on April 22 were called to a home on Costner Lane, during a probation visit for BobbyDon Morris, 50.
Once they arrived, they found a scooter worth more than $1,900 and reported stolen in February.
A warrant was issued forhis arrest on Tuesday.
When deputies arrived atMorris' home Thursday, Scott Alan Vest, 35, told them Morris was not home.Deputies saw that Morris was at home and also found Vest had warrants forfailure to appear in court.
Sheriff Montgomery saiddeputies found about two grams of methamphetamine while searching Vest.
They were both taken tothe Baxter County Detention Center.
Morris was charged with afelony for theft by receiving and parole violation. His bond was set at $5,000and had a hold placed for his parole violation.
Vest was charged with afelony for possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor for obstructinggovernmental operations, and a misdemeanor for failure to appear. He wasreleased from jail after posting $5,570 bond.
Sheriff Montgomery said Vestand Morris are scheduled to appear at the Baxter County Circuit Court on May 8.
