JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A domestic violence call lead to a chase, a crash and arrest on Friday night.

According to LT. Rick Elliot, the chase and crash had nothing to do with the domestic violence call.

Jonesboro Police officers were responding to a domestic violence call on Marjorie Drive, just off Matthews.

When officers arrived at the scene, a man ran out of his home, got into a car and sped off. Thinking this man was connected to the domestic violence call, officers then chased him until he eventually crashed into a pair of cars on Red Wolf Boulevard at Nettleton.

After a short foot chase, the suspect was arrested.

LT. Elliot said the suspect's father told police his son was on drugs and needs to be committed. The father also said when the son saw the police cars in his neighborhood, he thought the police were after him.

No arrests were made in the domestic violence call.

One person was injured.
