LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – When a couple returned to their Old Louisville apartment early Derby morning, they found an unwanted and unwelcome visitor. As it turns out he was not a stranger.

The couple made the discovery around 2:30 a.m. May 3. Louisville Metro Police said the victim pushed the suspect, Aaron Davis, 37, of Louisville, off the balcony causing him to fall onto a brick wall below before hitting the pavement.

The victims said they recognized Davis because he lives in the same apartment complex. After getting his address, t police paid Davis a visit. Officers said he matched the description given by the victims and had injuries consistent with those someone would have gotten during a fall from the balcony.

Davis was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on one count of burglary.
