GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) -

A traffic stop in Gibson County leads to charges against the driver.

A Gibson County Sheriff's Deputy stopped a car early Sunday morning that was headed westbound on Broadway in Princeton with its headlights off.

A Princeton police officer assisting in the investigation saw a hand-rolled cigarette in plain view inside the car.  The officer also saw flakes of a green leafy substance on the driver's shirt.

The sheriff's deputy ran a field test on the substances and they came back positive for a synthetic drug.

21-year-old Kenan Bajzath of Elberfeld was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with possession of a synthetic cannabinoid.
