Lufkin Parks and Recreation Specialist, Sue Ann Pierce said it's a great way for kids to enjoy their summer while parents get a few hours to themselves.

"I just hope that it helps keep the kids active through the summer, and you know if the parents don't work ,it's an hour for them to go and have something to do or, you know. have a little mom and husband time," Pierce said.

Summer session 1 registration started Monday and will continue until May 23rd.

Those classes run May 27- July 3

Summer session 2 registration starts June 23rd and goes until July 3rd
