WILSON, TX (KCBD) -

An ongoing dispute between two teachers and the Wilson ISD has been settled.

The Wilson ISD Board of Trustees and teachers Michelle Story and Patricia Johnson issued a joint statement Tuesday evening.

The board voted to fire both teachers in March. This led to a lawsuit and led several other teachers to submit their resignations.

Now, both parties have reached an agreement that will allow the teachers to transition into new jobs. They did not state what those positions would be or if they are with Wilson ISD.

Attorney Kevin Glasheen says the teachers will be allowed at all Wilson ISD events.

Story and Johnson have asked that their privacy be respected, and that the school district and others not talk about their employment in the future.
