PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) – Paragould students kicked off their 7th annual Ram Run Wednesday morning. Around 1200 students, kindergarten to fourth grade, participated in a day full of athletic activities.
Lynn Treece, Director of Student Health Services for the Paragould School District, said instilling physical habits early is important. "It starts healthy skills for a lifetime if the students be given physical activity when they're young."
"It gets them off of the computer, off the IPADS and outside and being active which is very important," said Julie Beach, Paragould's physical education teacher.
Treece said students have been studying health and nutrition in the classroom and the event was a great way to bring it all together.
