NEA officials tour PediFlight Jonesboro Base

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -Region 8 residents were invited to come out to the Jonesboro Airport and see what medical services are available to the community.

City and elected officials spoke with Le Bonheur and Hospital Wing representatives. They met the flight crews and got to check out the helicopter and specially-equipped pediatric ambulance.

Marshall McDaniel knows firsthand how valuable these services can be and said, "The physicians and nurse there are all great.  They're great for all the patients that are off to Le Bonheur and they'll do everything possible for that patient."

"I was a senior in high school at Jonesboro.  I was in a football accident and I had to go off to Le Bonheur for medical treatment because I broke my neck," said McDaniel

Since they began offering their services last summer, they've air lifted around 98 children and transferred over 150 by ambulance.
