JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The NEA Charitable Foundation held its second annual Mother's Day Memorial Butterfly Release at Craighead Forest Park Saturday.
The event was part of ShareHope, a support group for people who have lost a baby during pregnancy, stillbirth or in the first few months of life.
"Most families just want their babies to be recognized. They get a lot of flack from people who say, 'Your baby wasn't born.' Well it was still a person so people want recognition and this is a way to recognize those babies," said ShareHope Program Coordinator Jill Crews.
Thirty-six little babies were recognized at the ceremony.
The ShareHope support group meets every month.
