Man arrested for possession of pot, crack cocaine

JONESBORO, AR  (KAIT) – A Jonesboro man was arrested for possession of marijuana and crack cocaine Friday night, according to an incident report.

According to Officer Anthony Afar, Mark Coleman, 41, of Jonesboro was found hiding in a bathroom when officers executed a search warrant at a home in the 900 block of North Caraway Road. When officers arrived, they saw Coleman smoking a "blunt" with marijuana on the floor.

While officers put Coleman into custody, they discovered several rocks of crack cocaine in his cargo shorts, along with $1,200.

The report stated officers also found drugs in a shoe under the bed in the master bedroom.

Coleman was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center and charged with possession of cocaine with the purpose to deliver greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams.
