Bootheel Drug Task Force Arrests Eight in Dunklin County Sweep

HAYTI, MO - Eight individuals have been arrested in southeast Missouri as the result of cooperative investigations by agents with the Bootheel Drug Task Force and officers of the Dunklin County Sheriff's Department, Malden and Kennett police departments and Missouri Highway Patrol.

The suspects include:

-Annette Parker, Kennett, sale of a controlled substance.

-Richard E. Matthews, Malden, three counts of sale of a controlled substance.

-Charles Southard, Malden, three counts of sale of a controlled substance.

-Austin Brown, Bragg City, attempt to manufacture a controlled substance.

-Vicky Neal, Cardwell, three counts of sale of a controlled substance.

-Perry Metheny, Cardwell, two counts of sale of a controlled substance.

-Lois Bishop, Kennett, sale of a controlled substance.

-Taron D. Farmer, Kennett, sale of a controlled substance.

Farmer and Metheny are already being held in the Missouri Department of Corrections, and their warrants were served there.  The investigations have occured over the past several months in Dunklin County. Authorities say at least three additional arrests are expected.
