JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – The Westside Elementary principal found herself in a sticky situation Monday afternoon.
Principal Katherine Glover agreed to let students duct tape her to a chair at one dollar a strip in order to raise money for the Miracle League Softball field.
PTO member Dana Carlton says this is a valuable experience for their students.
"Without teaching our children about the Miracle League and things like that then they don't have an understanding of helping other people. So, a fundraiser like this not only helps other children but they're also learning to do so as they grow older," said Carlton.
Around 700 children taped their principal to the chair and over $700 was raised.
Official hope the Miracle League field will open in September.
