Jonesboro couple robbed at gunpoint in parking lot

JONESBORO, AR  (KAIT) – Investigators are looking for two men who reportedly robbed two people at gunpoint in the parking lot of Pine Apartments, 301 N. Caraway Road, according to an incident report filed with Jonesboro police.

According to Officer Dustin Smith, two men approached him at a gas station on E. Johnson Ave. to tell him about a possible robbery at the apartment complex behind the store on Wednesday night. At that time, Smith got a call from dispatch about the incident.

When he got to the scene, Smith reported that one of the victims approached him. The victim told Smith that two men came up to his vehicle and forced him to get out, while another man forced his wife to get out. He said one man had a black handgun and pulled him out of the car. The other man pulled his wife out of the car and forced her to lay down on the ground.

The victims complied with the two suspects, who got away with an iPhone, ASU identification, a credit car, driver's license, and a green Gucci clutch.

One victim was able to get a glimpse of the suspects, but their faces were covered.
