HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that happened Wednesday night in Huntsville.

Police responded just before 10 p.m. to a residence on the 200 block of Binford Drive. The victim told police that a woman knocked on his door and, after he opened it, pointed a gun at him and demanded money.

According to investigators, when the victim told the woman he didn't have any money, she took a pair of Nike sneakers and a cell phone before leaving the scene in a vehicle.

No arrests have been made at this time. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
