ADH warn of raw milk risk

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KAIT) – The Arkansas Department of Health is cautioning consumers about the risk of raw milk.

According to the ADH, unpasteurized milk from cows and goats may contain harmful bacteria, parasites, or viruses that can cause illness and even death.

Illnesses can range from diarrhea, stomach cramping, vomiting to kidney failure, paralysis and chronic disorders.

Anyone can sick from drinking raw milk, but infants, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weak immune systems are at a higher risk.
