Residents cast their votes early for primary races

JONESBORO,AR (KAIT) – Craighead county residents were at the polls on Monday to casttheir votes in time for the primaries.

CraigheadCounty Clerk Kade Holliday said early voting ends Monday night. Holliday said thenumber of voters that came in on the final day for early voting vastly grewfrom previous days.

"So far,our numbers are up today, which they typically are on the last day of earlyvote, but things are going very smoothly so far," said Holliday.

Polls inCraighead County will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

More than82,000 people voted early in Arkansas.
