Disaster Recovery Center to close in Pocahontas

POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) – Those looking for information on aid following the severe weather in April have a short time to do so in Pocahontas.

The Disaster Recovery Center at 300 Geneva Dr. in Pocahontas will close on Saturday, May 24 at 7 p.m.

According to a news release from FEMA, traffic to the center has decreased to point of closure. Centers in Mayflower and Vilonia will remain open.

For those who need assistance but cannot make it to the center can find information online at online at www.disasterassistance.gov or by smartphone at m.fema.gov. You can also call 1-800-621-3362 or 1-800-462-7585 for help.
