ASU Professor Earns Fullbright Scholar Honor

JONESBORO, AR - A professor at Arkansas State University has been named a Fullbright Scholar and will lecture and do research in Africal this school year.

Osabuohien Amienyi is a professor of radio and television at ASU.  As a Fulbright Scholar, he will conduct research journalism and mass media in Africa and will lecture at Malawi Polytechnic.

He says he hopes to build a cultural and professional bridge between ASU and Malawi.

Amienyi has been a member of the ASU faculty since April 1993.  He has published some 16 articles in various scholarly publications and newspapers along with five book reviews.  He has made hundreds of scholarly and professional presentations.
