JONESBORO (AStateRedWolves.com) - A fourth television broadcast has been added to Arkansas State's 2014 football schedule with ESPNU set to air the Red Wolves' Sept. 13game against ACC-member Miami at the Hurricanes' Sun Life Stadium.
The Red Wolves' third game of the season and second all-time meeting with Miami will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. (CT). This year's game will be the first between Arkansas State and Miami since 1997 and the Red Wolves first against a current ACC member since playing Virginia Tech in 2011. In addition to Miami and Virginia Tech, the only other ACC opponent Arkansas State has ever faced is North Carolina State.
The 2014 contest will count as the first game of a home-and-home series between A-State and Miami as well. The five-time national champions will play the return game in Jonesboro on Sept. 9, 2017, giving the Red Wolves a home game against a current ACC opponent for the first time in the program's existence.
Entering the 2014 season, 43 of Arkansas State's last 52 games have been televised. The 2013 season saw every Arkansas State football game televised for the first time in school history. The Red Wolves previous school record for televised games in a season was 10 in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
In addition to their game at Miami, the Red Wolves have televised contests in 2014 scheduled for Sept. 6 at Tennessee (SEC Network), Oct. 21 at Louisiana-Lafayette (ESPN2) and Nov. 20 at Texas State (ESPNU). Arkansas State will have additional television opportunities that will be announced as they are finalized.
