2 arrested in Region 8 theft investigation

RANDOPLHCOUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Deputies made several arrests in Randolph and Lawrencecounties on Thursday after a theft investigation.

Accordingto Randolph County Sheriff Gary Tribble, his department was investigatingthefts in the Engleberg community.

As aresult of that investigation, deputies arrested Timothy Ray, 50, in Hoxie andRicky Turner, 42, in Pocahontas.

Both Rayand Turner went before Judge John Throesch. Ray had his cash bond set at$25,000. Turner had his cash bond set $10,000.

Ray wascharged with a felony for theft of property, possession of firearms by certainpersons, and breaking and entering. He was also charged with a misdemeanor forcriminal mischief and theft of property.

Turnerwas charged with a felony for theft of property, furnishing a handgun to aconvicted felon. He was also charged with a misdemeanor for criminal mischief.

ArkansasState Police and the Lawrence County helped in the investigation.

SheriffTribble said deputies are looking for a third suspect, and a stolen 1979 CJ5Red Jeep, with a soft top, an eagle painted on the hood, and new BF Goodrichmud tires.
