JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A simple "thank you" from Region 8 children pulled linemen off the power lines and into the classroom.
On Tuesday, representatives from Entergy visited elementary kids in Tyronza. The group put on an impressive demonstration to show the kids what electricity can really do.
The visit was the result of student's sending thank you letters to Entergy workers for getting the power back up during last winter's storms.
"I read all those letters and it touched my heart," said Kurt Johnson, a lineman for Entergy. "So I want to come back out here and show them the kind of respect I have for them just being kids and the respect they showed us by just writing the letters."
Around 50 fifth graders got to watch the demonstration.
