JUDSONIA, AR (KAIT) - A Judsonia man is behind bars charged with first degree murder after White County deputies say he shot and killed another man on his property.

911 received a call Friday around 2:00pm saying someone had been shot at a home on Oakdale Church Road. Police and emergency personnel found neither a victim or suspect when they arrived at the home.

Deputies soon determined there had been a shooting and that the property owner, Robert L. Vestal, age 41, was the suspect. Deputies began searching for Vestal and a possible victim.

Around 10:00am Saturday Vestal met with White County deputies and took them to the body of Todd Landreth, age 48 of Searcy. Landreth's body was sent to the medical examiner's office for autopsy.

Vestal's bond was set at $750,000 for the first degree murder charge. Detectives anticipate additional charges will be filed in the deadly shooting.
