South Toledoans calling for more safety in neighborhood

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

South Toledo residents are calling on Toledo Police Chief Bill Moton to increase safety in their neighborhood.

The Burroughs Neighborhood Organization (BNO) and residents plan to address their safety concerns Monday, June 2, at 7 p.m. They're meeting at the Burroughs Elementary School, 2420 South Avenue.

Members say they plan to present their comprehensive safety plan to Chief Moton, which includes one-hour of foot-patrol in their neighborhood daily.

The BNO has existed for the past seven years and is made up of area residents. They say the organizations top priority is safety and addressing local crime.
