Five people, including two children, were hurt after a head-on crash Monday afternoon in Clarksville.

Police say a Pontiac Firebird traveling southbound on Fort Campbell Boulevard began to swerve and then collided with a northbound Chevrolet Malibu.

The driver of the Firebird, 21-year-old Jessica Estep, was transported to Gateway Medical Center in stable condition, as was a passenger in the Firebird, 27-year-old John Steven Epley Jr.

The driver of the Malibu, 28-year-old Nakita Jones, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in stable condition. Two juvenile passengers in the Malibu were taken to Gateway in stable condition, police said.

A third vehicle, a Honda CRV, sustained minor damage, and its driver was not injured.

Police said Estep voluntarily gave blood to be tested for drugs and alcohol, and the results are pending.

The crash remains under investigation.
