Boy Scouts of America trailer stolen from church parking lot

JONESBORO, AR  (KAIT) – Police are trying to locate a stolen trailer that belonged to a Boy Scouts trooper leader, according to an incident report filed on Wednesday.

According to Jonesboro Police, Ken Pruitt, who is Troop 6 leader for the Boy Scouts of America, reported that in late May, someone stole an enclosed cargo trailer full of equipment. The total value of stolen items reached more than $3,000.

Pruitt told officers that the trailer was taken from the parking lot of the First United Methodist Church on Main Street, and the last time it was seen was on May 30, 2014. The trailer had a Boy Scouts of America logo on both sides. Pruitt said the trailer hitch was not locked, but both doors of the trailer were.

If you know anything about this theft, call Jonesboro Police at 935-STOP.
