TrinityRail to open in former Nordex building

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A new business will be moving into the former Nordex facility and new jobs are expected to follow.

The Arkansas Economic Development Commission announced Thursday TrinityRail Maintenance Services Inc. will set up operations inside the facility. The company says it will create 350 new jobs.

TrinityRail Maintenance Services Inc. is an operating unit of TrinityRail Group, LLC, and a subsidiary of Trinity Industries, Inc. based in Dallas, Texas.

According to the news release, "Trinity Industries, Inc. provides industrial products and services ranging from railcars, inland barges, storage containers, and aggregates to highway products, structural wind towers, railcar parts, and railcar leasing and management services."

No timetable was mentioned in the release about when the company expects to be up and running.
