OSCEOLA, AR  (KAIT) – A major economic announcement will be made in Mississippi County Tuesday afternoon, according to a news release from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. Company executives and former Vice President Al Gore will make the announcement.

According to Scott Harden, AEDC Communications Manager, Blue Oak Resources will add jobs in Osceola. However, he did not say how many people the company would hire. Those details will be announced Tuesday.

Blue Oak Resources, based out of Mountain View, California, recycles the metals used to manufacture most electronics, according to the company's website. Many of the unused and unwanted electronics are called electronic waste.

Harden said the company will make the announcement at 1024 Ohlendorf Road in Osceola.
