RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

Two Richmond police officers are recovering after being struck by a car. Police say this happened following a pursuit in Richmond.

According to police, the officers were hit in the 1600 block of Lamb Avenue, near Gilpin Court.

Around 3 a.m., officers got out of the car and attempted to approach the pursuit suspects. According to officers on scene,  that's when the driver took off, going towards the officers.

The officers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Three people were in the car - one was arrested at the scene, two others, including the driver, got away on foot.

Police say they are looking for Daejshon-terrique Blizzard, 21, who is accused of driving the vehicle at the time. Detectives believe Blizzard is now driving a Jeep Cherokee that is red in color.

If you have any information that can help police find the suspects, call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
