Body found floating on White River

CALICO ROCK, AR (KAIT) – A body discovered floating on the White River in Izard County has been identified.

According to the Izard County Sheriff's Department, officers were called to a boat dock in Calico Rock after a report of a body floating down the White River on the morning of June 6.

The body was identified as Donnie Ray Woodcock by the sheriff's department.

The sheriff's department stated about a quarter of a mile upstream there was evidence that someone had been camping on a big rock in the river. Several items were found along with a burned out campfire.

Woodcock's body was taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine cause of death.
