    A Jonesboro woman was arrested Saturday, July 26, after police say she left her two babies home alone. Sharonda Lopez, 25, is charged with two counts of first degree child endangerment.

JONESBORO, AR  (KAIT) – Several candidates have punched their ticket to November following victories in Tuesday's runoff elections.

Despite relatively low voter turnouts, the republican candidate for Arkansas Attorney General and two state congressional candidates were chosen to move on to the 2014 Arkansas General Election.

As of 10:00 Tuesday night, Leslie Rutledge was in the lead in the Attorney General's race by a sizable margin. With 62% of the counties reporting, Rutledge received 59% of the vote, compared to 41% for David Sterling.

In the State Senate District 17 race for the republican ballot, Scott Flippo was in the lead over Representative John Burris 52% to 48%.

In the State House District 16 race for the democratic ballot, Ken Ferguson had 55% of the vote compared to Win Trafford's 45% of the vote.

Several county races were decided Tuesday as well. Below is a list of counties in the Region 8 viewing area with a runoff election.
