Paragould man seriously hurt in crash

HORNERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) – A Paragould man was seriously hurt Wednesday when his dirt bike collided head-on with a car.

The crash was reported at 4:45 a.m. on Highway 164 west of Highway NN, according to Trooper J.B. Doyle of the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Kevin Wadkins, 20, was westbound when he swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway.

According to the crash report, his dirt bike then collided head-on with a 2002 Nissan Sentra driven by James C. Hymas, 44, of Paragould.

Wadkins was taken by ambulance to Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett then flown to The MED in Memphis with serious injuries.
