HARDY, AR  (KAIT) – Authorities in Sharp County have located a man who had been missing for nearly a week. Hardy Police told Region 8 News that the Silver Alert issued for Joseph R. Wilson, 91, of Hardy has been canceled.

Hardy Police said Wilson was found at a nursing home in Ash Flat after he fell in southeast Missouri. He was taken to the nursing home to rehabilitate a broken bone.

According to Hardy Police Chief Ernie Rose, neighbors last saw Wilson's truck about five days ago. Police said no one knew where Wilson was.

Rose said Wilson's caretaker became concerned because it was not in Wilson's character to leave without telling anyone. Rose also told Region 8 News that mail was found in his mailbox from June 3, 2014.
